I had that issue on my baby toes and it cleared itself up over time. My doctor was hesitant as well because treatment takes months and it can cause liver problems. Basically you cure one problem, with the probability of causing another-but more severe-Liver problems. However, I hear lamisil works the best, but you need to be under constant supervision if you take it. It can cause liver problems as well. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s better to stick with the minor problem rather than getting something more severe to remedy the less serious one!

Is there any home remedies that can get rid of toenail fungus? Four of my toes on my left foot are infected and have been for a year now. I just want pretty feet and to be able to wear sandals without feeling self-conscious.

I am only thirteen, and I have really bad toenail fungus. I also have already seen the doctor, I have tried everything: Tea Tree Oil, soaking them in salt, putting Listerine on them, Miranel, E-Oil, Oregano oil, Fungi Cure, and even Cure Toenail Fungus. Any home remedies suggestions?

A physician I worked with said Vicks Vapo-rub works. The only thing is that it is a slow cure process and may take 1 1/2 to 2 years. It’s a very safe cure, though. The prescription medications are more risky, especially for your liver, and that’s something I would avoid at your young age.
